When travel blogger Gabby Petito, 22, failed to return home after a cross-country “van life” trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie in September 2021, her parents filed a missing person’s report and a statewide hunt for the woman began. Amateur sleuths combed through Gabby’s social media posts in search of hints about what transpired to her during her vacation as a result of nonstop press coverage, which ultimately led to the discovery of her body in Wyoming. The film will depict Gabby and Brian’s sad love story, including the warning signs that Gabby’s life was in danger, the accompanying search for her, the eventual identification of her murder, and Brian’s suicide in the end, as the tragic one-year anniversary of her death approaches.
