The upcoming Lifetime series Meet Mary Murder will be narrated by Academy Award winner Helen Hunt. The program will be part of Lifetime's new true crime lineup for Life & Crime Mondays, which will debut on October 3.

Helen Hunt (Mad About You), an Academy Award® and Emmy® winner and true crime fan, contributes her voice as the narrator of the new series Meet Marry Murder, which will premiere on Monday, October 3 at 9p/8c as part of Lifetime’s development of unscripted true crime content.

What happens if the person you promised to spend the rest of your life with decides to take it instead? Meet Marry Murder examines many homicide instances in the US when partners killed their spouses covertly. Helen Hunt, an Academy Award® winner, provides the narration. Each account is provided by the relatives, friends, and coworkers who knew the subject the best as well as by the investigators dedicated to uncovering the truth behind twisted lies. Meet Marry Murder delves into relationships that have surprisingly turned lethal through horrific tales of passion, betrayal and avarice, investigative intrigue, and more. The series delves deeply into several cases and reveals a world of murderous situations, including one in which a husband broadcasts his intention to kill his wife on YouTube, another in which a woman is propelled to kill in order to receive a life insurance payout, and still another in which a successful Louisiana lawyer is murdered by the man she met after a car accident.

The program joins previously launched programs #TextMeWhenYouGetHome, Phrogging: Hide in My House, and Sleeping with a Killer on the network’s Life & Crime real crime slate. For this season, ten episodes have been ordered.
