The broadcast networks are likely to preempt all or a portion of their daytime lineups, as has been the case since the hearings begin. This will primarily affect “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” “The Talk,” and “General Hospital,” wherein episodes will push forward for soaps in particular. Meanwhile, the first half-hour of “The Young And The Restless” is expected to air before being broken into by CBS News coverage. The entire episode will be available later in the evening via Paramount+ and CBS On Demand.

As it closes its probe into former President Donald Trump and his influence as he refused to recognize the results of the 2020 election, the House committee looking into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 will hold what may be the final public session.

In fact, other committee members assert that they believe additional meetings will be necessary. For instance, Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) responded, “No, that’s not right,” when asked whether the upcoming session would be the final at a conference on September 24 in Austin. We do not believe that this will be the final hearing.

At the conference,  Liz Cheney, a U.S. Representative pledged to do “whatever it takes” to prevent former President Donald Trump from becoming the GOP’s choice for president in the 2024 elections, including campaigning for Democrats taking on election-fraud candidates running as Republicans.

The Republican congresswoman reaffirmed her commitment to doing all in her power to stop the former president from running as a candidate for her party in the upcoming presidential race when asked by Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith if she would consider running for president herself.

How to watch

The hearings have been broadcast on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and CSPAN in place of their regular programming. The daytime hearings were shown on Fox News, while the nighttime sessions were broadcast on Fox Business.

The select committee’s youtube.com has also been used to webcast the hearings, and there is a recording of each finished session there as well.
