Elton John will be presented to viewers in a way they have never seen him in the historic three-hour livestream from Disney Branded Television, paying homage to the superstar and the crucial event in 1975 that solidified his worldwide triumph. At 7:30 PST/ 10:30 EST, “Countdown to Elton Live” from Dodger Stadium will kick off the show.

With “Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium,” 50,000+ in-person fans and countless admirers abroad will have the opportunity to see his greatest hits from the previous 50 years as it unfolds in real-time at Dodger Stadium. On stage during the amazing evening, a number of well-known performers who have not yet been revealed will pay tribute to the famous megastar.

This incredible evening will serve as a precursor to the much awaited Disney Original Documentary from R.J. Cutler and director David Furnish, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances and the Years That Made His Legend,” which is set to premiere in 2023. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” the official documentary on Elton John, will present never-before-seen practice and live footage from the past 50 years, in addition to unique personal archives and interviews. In addition to highlighting his final months on the road, the definitive portrait of Elton John will also take a look back at the extraordinary first five years of his career, from 1970 to 1975, when he released 10 iconic albums, seven of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and became a worldwide phenomenon. Before it streams on Disney+, the movie will appear in festivals and a limited theatrical release.
