Daytime Confidential is reporting that “General Hospital” has let Marcus Coloma go! The rumor had been circulating quickly in the soap opera community all week when viewers began to notice that Coloma had blocked any fan, soap outlet, including cast members, from all of his social media.
Marcus reportedly refused to record his final scenes after learning that the show would be letting him go.
Coloma joined the show in 2019, as the third actor hired to portray Nikolas Cassadine, a Greek Prince. Currently, Nikolas is involved in a major plotline. Just to name a few of those hot topics, Nikolas recently served divorce papers to his wife Ava Jerome (Maura West), he is in a difficult situation because Esme (Avery Pohl), a she-devil, is imprisoned in the castle along with a baby bmp that is his. Then there is Uncle Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who is cruel, cunning, and prone to backstabbing, he also continues to be distant from his adored son Spencer (Nicholas Chavez). Not to mention Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), who is conspiring with him to hide all of his lies and betrayals, with unbearable consequences.
We should expect to learn about a recast soon because this character is way too crucial to be written out at this point. Would be nice if the original Nikolas, Tyler Christopher is available.
Soap Opera Network has just reported that ABC has confirmed that Marcus Coloma has exited General Hospital. His last airdate will be in January 2023.
